i love going to the big carrot, it's my fave organic store...and i always go on my lunch break...it gives me a chance to clear my head from all the corporate hoopla i deal with...and allows me to become grounded for a little...once a month the store releases a new flyer, and they always have a new product they are trying out...well this month something caught my eye...everything raw bars...i bought 2 of the raw decadence, 2 of the indigo nights and 2 of the i am strong nutrition energy bars...i am not a fan of honey, so i wasn't interested in the yoga bar...i thought it might be nice to share these with one of my lovely friends...why not?
these bars are tiny...moonie pies are bigger! i tried the raw decadence, and it was pretty fabulous...nutty and chocolatey, with a hint of cinnamon...and they are all gluten free, with no added sugar, 100% raw...and vegan (minus the yoga bar, but i guess the honey issue is a moot point, as everyone has an opinion)...meh, which i don't care for...i just really dislike honey period...it's bee vomit (that's how i see it)...ok...moving forward...
please enter my first giveaway...the winner will win the three raw bars listed above, all you have to do is one of two things, or both, check it out:
1. leave a comment letting me know why you would like to try these bars, and which bar most appeals to you...(if i get interest in the yoga bar, i'll go pick it up, and it may become part of the prize)...
2. blog about this giveaway on your blog...(receive 5 extra entries)...
contest ends tuesday, april 20, 2010 at 12 a.m., i will announce the winner the evening of the same date...
pretty easy peasy...
good luck...and have a fabulous afternoon...
your first giveaway, how exciting!=)
ReplyDeletethey all sound pretty darn good, but i think i'm most interested in the indigo nights, since i've yet to try a raw fudge or brownie type of treat.
the yoga bar is white chocolate flavored, which is my FAVORITE, but i also avoid honey. i like honey flavor, but don't like the idea of taking from the bees. i never thought of it as bee vomit, but you're right!=)
thanks for sharing those yummy snacks with a lucky reader! i will be sure to post a link to this giveaway on my next blog.
xoxo
by the way, how's your neck feeling? oh, and thanks for the reply about the moonie pies. i'm going to have to sit this one out, though - i'm making another mudslide pie for this weekend and can only focus on one dessert at a time. i'll be cheering for you on the sidelines!=)
Ohh I'd love to try these bars because they sound tasty haha. I love anything chocolate!
ReplyDeleteI love raw bars. They're so convenient. The indigo nights sound delish!
ReplyDeletedon't be silly, nelly. i love getting comments from you!
ReplyDeletereally, you'd let me sample one of your delicious little creations?! i would LOVE that. now i'm really hoping i win!
so glad your neck is better. a pulled neck muscle is no fun. i used to blow dry my hair upside down in high school and hurt myself BAD flipping my head back up. (oh, the things i did to "look good"!) i had my boyfriend in stitches driving with me because i had to turn my whole body to look both ways!=)
(oh, if you ever want to get in touch with me, my email is kellianncougle@hotmail.com)
take care nelly girl!=)
Ooh yumm! never heard of these bars - would love to try - Id have to go with the decadence even though they both sound delish... these ones sound the richest! :)
